The WrestleManiac 8 Wrap-Up the Wrestlemania XXX Weekend

wm8

The WM8 Posse is a group of my friends from various walks of my life, that all have one thing in common…they like Wrestling. A lot. So that is probably why I maintain a friendship with them…also because all of them are foolish in their own way, and that itself is the key to being my friend. Seriousness can get the ‘f’ out. Lance Storm would probably not be my friend…even though I follow him on Twitter.

This idea started on Facebook, where I group chatted to them about the idea of them writing some thoughts regarding Mania for me to post here.

U guys are my wrestlemaniac six…during this “road to wrestlemania” I’m going to spotlight you guys…as long as u give me content. Send in email or in a sep. Fb dir msg. The only things I want are: ur fave wmania moment, ur feelings on wrestling now (dhani dont diss everything chap!) and who u think should be in the hall of fame next. Also send or direct me to a photo of u and something wrestling related…and a profile url of something u want me to link to if u want.

Simple yeah? Not so much with these crazy fools. They don’t follow rules. I mean what did I expect from 4 Guyanese H’Indians, a Jamaican and a Pakistani? Especially ones who like wrestling. Actually the latter was the ONLY one to actually follow the rules and give me the content I needed, but the photo was a lil suspect. :/

If you guessed that they just blasted their thoughts right in that same chat…you get a Kurt Angle Gold Freakin medal. I may not have got the content I originally wanted but I sure as hell got some comedy gold…and some actual wrestling discussion.

The only problem was that it was way too hard to weed the nonsense from actual discussion and by the time I had a chance to even do that Mr. T had said the word “mother” 56905 times. So the preview article became a bust. It was not meant to be I guess, most likely because 8 is a better and more suited number for n8itude than 6. I can’t believe I forgot about myself. So me + the previous 6 + another New Yorker who can easily talk the talk somewhat objectively and who essentially stole the show (post) within a few lines; Nick. We, collectively are the WM8 Posse (at least in the n8itude universe).

Okay so the Wrestlemaniac Six article was a bust, because well you guys gave me no content (except iq) and now its old news…so now im including Nick (I should have before I dunno why i didn’t dude) and just blast away your thoughts on Mania 30 and the hall of fame. Some how I’ll fit this madness puzzle into a piece and maybe even recycle some of that madness from before…..

Before we even get into the discussion, we might as get into the roll-call.

dhanimated1

Im in class I will hit u up later don’t worry I won’t diss nuttin lol this ant royal rumble lol
Wrestlemania 6 is my Fav ppv

Hart foundation match lol ask boyoh
Warrior vs Hogan

That was his profound answer to my original question. To his credit he was the first to reply. Then again he usually is!

Dhani is one of the 2 Americans (Queens NY STAND UP!) and because of that I knew he wasn’t going to comply with or even read my rules. But I knew somehow I could snag some type of content from him. I didn’t know it would be this hard to get info from a CRAZED WRESTLING FANATIC. All he talks about is wrestling, all day and night. He has met practically damn near everyone…I mean look at that pic.

He is also an unapologetic Bret Hart mark…no mark is too weak a word. Whatever you think an obsessed super follower is … multiply that by every number you could ever multiply it with. Bret Hart can do no wrong in his eyes and I equally love that about dude and am supreme frustrated by it! PS. yes, Dhani was actually one of those kids that Bret gave his plastic sunglasses to at ring side when he was a kid…yeah so now it makes sense. What doesn’t make sense is that he nicknamed himself V1 after Matt Hardy??!! Thaaaat’s Dhani!

boyshiek

Dhani is actually Big Boyoh‘s cousin. Boyoh is an official n8itude legend. He’s one of my best homies and although we are almost a decade apart in age we think relatively the same. He is “old school” at heart. One of the smartest wrestling fans out there, but he tends to quit on it at times! I literally met both him and Dhani at a wrestling party and we’ve been breddrens ever since. Boyoh is like all over n8itude so pretty much click somewhere and you may find a reference to him.

iqbabay

Speaking of meeting someone at a wrestling party, that is where I met IQ…possibly at the same party. IQ’s initial claim to fame was supplying all the “curry” flavoured chips in that weird mid 2000’s trend and being the ONE John Cena fan that we all just took it out on. The fun loving wrestling uber fan always has something to say and since he actually answered my first request in an email no less, I’m not wasting it.

Fav mania moment:
Sooo many great ones including warrior beating hogan in toronto. Thats my fav.
But there was also the hogan slam of andre the giant.
Also when benoit made hhh tap out.. I really didnt see that one coming.
Anything with the rock was great. But especially when he turned heel and took 44727 chair shots from stone cold

Feelings on wrestling now…
It’s not as good as the attitude era… wrestlers lack mic skills and the storylines need more time to develop. But still love it

Hall of fame:
Gotta have King Kong Bundy especially after he retweeted (thanka to you lol)
Not really sure whos already inducted but The Rock needs to be there.
Also.. ricky the dragon
And whoever brown wrestlers are out there because you know

Nick is Dhani’s friend and they are the perfect pair. For all of Dhani’s ramblings, Nick makes sense! These guys are like the Road Warriors and Nick is Animal. Nick probably has close to as many signatures as V1 but if you look at the pics he looks like a damn wrestler himself. Oh and Yes… I met him at the same wrestling party!

Ryan is the group’s everything snob. I say that with peace and love. He is the foremost authority on almost every genre of music and sports and can hold his own in the wrestling talk world. Although you are not going to be able to tell that with the proceeding discussion…at all. We’ve gone to a couple shows together and yes I met him at that same party as well!

rodney

I met Rodney at….Church (SWERVE!!) Yes we are known as the wrestling fans at church and after every single service you can find us at the back talking about wrestling. Usually it’s already up on his MacBoook or iPad by the time I even get to the back. We joined a dodgeball team and Rodney’s shirt was the Million Dollar Man tuxedo shirt. That right there solidified our wrestling geek bond. For giving me access to the WWE Network and watching Mania pop up free I say #thankyourodney.

Rodney’s fandom is so well-known to his peeps that this is his BDAY cake:

Javed otherwise infamously known on n8itude as Devaj is like my insane hyper mad protege. He’s been a bonafide Hulkamaniac from time. That is evidenced in abundance and between him and Dhani, I’m not sure who is the craziest or who posts the most wrestling related stuff on fassbook.

The following post has been brought to by the nWo the n8itude World Order and is essentially just a slight glimpse into the daily discussions our various followers have to put up with.

Now here is our attempt at a review and please be kind to typo’s and grammatical errors, this was a Facebook chat.

I enjoyed both the Hall of Fame and Wrestlemania 30. First PPV I’ve paid for (via the network) in MANY years, and totally worth it.
Best speech at the Hall of Fame is a tie between Jake Roberts and Ultimate Warrior, with special mention to the entire Paul Bearer speech and tribute, Carlito’s intro for his father, and Kane’s cutting off of Mr. T (you love your mother, we get it).
Wrestlemania was a fun show. Best matches were the tag title match, Cesaro’s winning of the Andre the Giant Battle Royal, Both Daniel Bryan matches. The end of The Streak was shocking, but now the way Lesnar was booked the past few weeks makes more sense. The opening segment with Rock, Austin, and Hogan was tremendous. Cena vs Wyatt was a disappointment in terms of match quality and the match result – I don’t think either guy got a boost by Cena winning as usual.

– Rodney

I am in total agreement with Rodney here… Although I always saw Takers career ending with the streak being broken, but to part time Lesner??? It would’ve been a major shot in the arm if he put someone younger over… like Punk last year??
Rodney hit the nail on the head HOF and Mania. I didn’t think Cena would have a good match although Bray is very capable, you’re only as good as your opponent. That’s like saying Batista would have a 5 star match. I think everyone here knows that will probably never happen…

– Boyoh

Cena vs bray was ok. It was the wwe style match half wrestling half entertainment. Cena knows more than 5 moves. The prototype was a wrestling machine…the chaingang leader is only supposed to do the crowd fave moves…he could have hung with husky if the writers wanted that. It was what the fans expected. Shield match was short and hot garbage

Brock wrestled more matches in the past 3 years than hhh and taker combined…hes not a part timer…he has that hbk deal now. Nobody including brock on that roster deserved to end that streak. Cena maybe but he is in the downward part of his career now. He looking for suits soon. Bryan is way too green in his main event territory to deserve it even next year. The wyatts as a team or the shield as a unit of stars is more believable

– n8

I agree with Rodney and Anthony. My fav was the hall of fame. Jake razor warrior had the best speeches. Cesaro body slam big show was better than royal rumble. Wrestlemania 30 was better than the last 2 Wrestlemanias. The streak is over . End of an era.

The last 2 manias main Event was trash. Cena sucks in the ring both matches. Rock was injured during last match . Not bias. Jim cornette opinion 97 lol
Cm punk vs taker was best match last year and gave the award to Cena and rock 4 fans like n8 lol

– Dhani

Cena was ok. He didnt mess up but all he did was kick and punch. He should have AA both the wyatt giants or do sonething supercena should do. Maybe throw them out the ring over the top rope. He shoukd of press slammed bray and then do warrior splash. That would have got a pop. Cena had no entrance. That i hated. Cena mania entrances were equal to hbk mania entrances but this year nothing. At least bring nikki out and slap she big batty

I hope awesome kong come back tonight and bend aj…or just have aj bending for the whole show. Aj bend cam.

– n8

Lmao!!!

– Ryan

I only jump into the conversation with Random input. My bad boys, it’s one of them days lol
So not sure if anyone can confirm this but Brock wasn’t suppose to break the streak???

– Javed/Devaj

Who was the blonde with the kid at the end of brysns win… baby momma?
And why didn’t the bellas make out with each other… such a waste

– IQ

I respect undertaker for passing the tourch. I rather have punk last year or sting next year end the streak but that’s taker call. I’m not mad cuz I laugh at fans Who are vex the streak is over. Now people know I how I feel about Montreal 97 when Bret Hart got screwed and he supposed to win!

– Dhani

Undertaker losing was a waste of a match. The match was horrible all together. Making him lose now was pointless. If he can’t wrestle anymore retire with the streak. Don’t lose it to Brock who will disappear n become a part time wrestler like majority of these old bastards
There time is over now. Move out of the spotlight n give it to the up n coming guys. Don’t hold them in Midcard land forever

– Nick

Nick who on the roster u think taker should have lost to. So far bryan is the choice

– n8

No one. It’s his legacy Let home retire with 22
He has nothing else
He doesn’t have 16 belts like flair
He’s not mr wrestle mania
He’s not best in the world wit his streak
Or best there is or was

Wat can he really say. I invented hell in the cell n casket match n buried alive match

He threw mankind off a cage
He had a streAk n could have made a DVD
Wats his DVD gunna be now 21 n 1

The only thing they can spin is hhh made the ref fast count
They rematch at next ppv N it get reversed
Him vs sting would be a waste
Both are old n slow n weak
Unless they get in shape for the match
But look at taker. Dude look like we on slim fast for a whole year

– Nick

Nick stole the post like carlito stole the hall of show can i get a thumbs up??!!
